A $15 tax-deductible donation is requested at the door.
20% of art sales the night of the event are donated to the WCA, as are 100% of silent auction and limited raffle proceeds. Silent Auction Art is available for bidding on this website starting March 25.
This year's show was juried by Susan Latta, adjunct professor of art at Boise State University. A select portion of artwork will hang at VAC from April 2- May 29, with an Artist’s Reception on Friday, April 2 starting at 6pm. For more information, go to www.visualartscollective.com.
New this year is The Venus Project, in which media personalities and celebrities have created art torsos to be included in the silent auction. Featured are Scott Dorval, Today’s Channel 6 Weather, and his wife Saurah; Natalie Hurst, Channel 2 News; Dana Oland, Idaho Statesman; Amy Atkins, Boise Weekly, Kate McGwire, MIX 106, Robin Scott, LITE 108, Keke Luv, 103.3 KISS FM, Melissa Dawn, PEAK Broadcasting, Maggie O’Mara, KTVB Channel 7, and Rocci Johnson.
The event also includes a quick draw with artists Pam McKnight, Kay Coughran, Susan Moore, Kay Seurat and Kathy McCarthy creating art on the spot to be auctioned off that evening.
Entertainment is provided by musical guests Michael Rosenthal & Bill Liles, jazz, 6p to 7p, Gayle Chapman, 7p to 8p and Rebecca Scott & Deb Sager, 8p to 9p.
Food for purchase provided by Smoky Mountain Pizza and there will be a no host bar.
